Vote for Me! Issues likely to be debated on the Doorstep!

Maintaining our neutral political stance, but we do encourage everyone to use the vote they have as traditionally the turnout is very low for local elections. In the low 30's in percentage terms. So just a few dozen votes could swing it one way or the other! We understand the list of candidates for Stanground Central and Stanground East wards is to be released shortly, so when the prospective candidiates all come banging on your door, kissing babies (why DO they do that?) and shouting "Vote for Me!" refer to this handy chart and debate the issues with them on your very doorstep. IF they fudge the answers, then you know what to do, cross them off your list and find the next candidate and we strongly suggest picking out a few of the items we have published on here since last June and see how much your candidate really knows about our neighbourhoods. It would also be helpful if they actually lived here as well. We understand that some prospective candidates, from unhappier areas of the City where ASB is a problem, are making a beeline for our two wards and will be standing . Crime/law and order well up the list at 18% whilst Petrol Prices/Fuel rate 15% mentions. We've included the link to the edited topline IposMORI survey so you can download the PDF file. To read the full survey, you'll have to buy The Economist who commissioned the survey and that is as political as we get.... http://www.ipsos-mori.com/Assets/Docs/Polls/Mar11issuestopline.PDF CALL CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111 They will never ask for your name, trace your call, you won't need to go to Court.
