DCI Gary Goose conducted Investigation



The Strategy Manager for the Safer Peterborough Partnership DCI Gary Goose has completed his  investigation into the workings of the unincorporated charity, the Stanground Community Centre and has found from a Police/Criminality perspective there is no prospect of any conviction and no further action is to be taken.

The investigation was limited to matters within the remit of Police and criminality, but however could not include civil allegations of non compliance by three individual charity trustees of the unincorporated charity with Charities Act and Trustee Act requirements, governing the day to day operation of the charity. 

There also remains an ongoing High Court civil action for Damages in the Queens Bench Division of the High Court in London (Claim Number HQ11X02313) against three of the Stanground Community Centre Charity Trustees, which was not any part of the police criminal investigation.

The Charities Commission, also independently received complaints from several residents, has today confirmed that it is to continuing working with the trustees to address any concerns. At this early stage, a formal investigation is not underway.
