| Mr President, Good News! I hear we can all now walk safely to Cardea .. |
In response to a number of enquiries, following the opening of the new Morrisons Stanground Supermarket and Petrol Station also the Marstons Apple Cart Pub/Restaurant (but located at Cardea) a 'safe' footpath is now open and links the 'far' end of Oakdale Avenue and runs adjacent to the School directly to the Cardea development.
Would everyone reading this, please urgently let your residents know, as we are still seeing Mums, children and buggies being pushed and individuals walking along the storm drain alongside the busy by-pass.
News Update The path say residents is however in the wrong place and has no signboards or other indicators to say that it connects with the Cardea development. It entails a long walk as it's opposite Bew Avenue ie: the far end of Oakdale Avenue (junction opposite Southfields School playing fields). It does however provide another bus/walk access to Cardea if you take the 31 Ramsay bus from town and alight at Bew Avenue opposite Oakdale School then take the new footpath (which is lit at night).

Morrisons also have parking spaces for four electric powered cars cars and all the disabled blue bagde parking is to the side of the supermarket with just a few spaces at the front adjacent to the electric spaces...
