FISHING SWIMS READY FOR SERIOUS FISHING ACTION AT PARK FARM POND

Swim, fishy, swim....

Thanks to teams from Community Payback, grass and reeds have now been expertly cut back to create a series of  'fishing swims' at Park Farm Pond. For the non fishyfolk amongst us (include me!) a 'fishing swim' is a level access to the fishing water, so you can set up your rod, tent sleeping bag, radio tuned to BBC Cambs and a billy can of cocoa  (last bit is my idea) right next to the waters edge and nothing to do with cod swimming or people falling in.

Seriously we do thank the teams, as they worked really hard to create some new facilities at the Park Farm Pond which has now been adopted by PCC and is within the watchful radar of your friendly Park Farm Neighbourhood Watch and Cambridgeshire Police who use some mean looking pedal bikes to patrol the Middle Level footpaths and now the Pond. We have still to find the mindless idiot who tipped oil/petrol into the pond but hopefully no long term damage has been done....
