We've had a neatly suited male aged around 25, 5' 7" on the doorstep. His opening gambit is 'Do you know they have made an upgrade at your local telephone exchange and that the Internet is now free.....?.' He launched straight into his pitch didn't even say Hi!
It's all free, trust me!
Having battled with BT and anyone else who would listen, over the last two years, I can confirm the telephone exchange is still at the same sorry level of Internet speed, as it was a few years ago!
No attempt by our doostep salesman to show me his staff credentials although he did have a Talk Talk lanyard around his neck but didn't have any paperwork, leaflets or brochures and seemed way too interested on what was happening beyond the doorstep! Any information pass it back to us and/or call police!
