Stanground Community Association Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 26th September

STANGROUND COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Unincorporated Charity Number 271705

Stanground Community Association
Annual General Meeting
to be held on Monday 26th September 2011
at 7:30pm, Stanground Community Centre, Whittlesey Road, Stanground

Stanground residents by virtue of residence are automatically voting members of the Stanground Community Association and younger residents are also fully entitled as junior members (but non-voting)  to use the publicly funded building and facilities.

Accordingly voting members are legally entitled to attend and to run for election to the Committee and as Committee Members to be subsequently appointed as manager trustees of this small unincorporated charity and as a trustee personally liable for the financial well-being of the charity.  The financial records are published on the Charity Commission Website, by entering the charity number  271705

The trustees running the Community Centre still have a lot of questions to answer as accounts still remain unfiled for several years and substantial public funding ( according to Freedom of Information requests) to support a bus operation during those years, has still not been fully accounted for.   Two 16 seater buses for eaxmple, are currently parked up at Southfields School and have not moved for several months.

We still have copies of the Government publication "What Charity Trustees really need to know..." and PFNW is happy to make these available or go directly to:  http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20100304041448/http:/www.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/media/cabinetoffice/third_sector/assets/charities_act_web.pdf
